When complete, the Watertown-Cambridge Greenway will be the link between the Charles River bike paths to the south and the Fresh Pond Loop Trail, Alewife Greenway, and Minuteman Bikeway to the north. The first phase of the Watertown-Cambridge Greenway was completed in 2011, linking Arsenal St to the intersection of Nichols Ave and Arlington St. Design for the second phase of the Greenway, which will continue north from the intersection of Nichols Ave and Arlington St to the Fresh Pond Water Treatment Plant is currently underway. Jon is working with DCR and Watertown and Cambridge officials to identify sources for construction funding.
